How an investor gets documents today

Customer APIs are available through sales. The terms explicitly prohibit bots, spiders and RPA on the platform, so recipient automation is limited to official channels. Whether an investor can get API access is not documented.

  • The API is for the vendor's clients and partners, not for investors. Ask the GP or administrator to deliver documents to a nominated email address or SFTP folder, or to send a data feed from their side of the API. See Partner-only portal access explained.
  • Notifications. Email notifications are unknown in the registry. Where they exist, routing them to a monitored mailbox is the first step in How to automate capital call notices.
  • Manual download. Download documents from the web portal.
  • No scraping. The terms prohibit automated access. Do not scrape the portal or run browser automation against it. Use the routes above.

Capabilities and terms

What Intralinks VDRPro exposes to investors, according to the research: documents.

  • Export formats: Not recorded
  • Standards: None recorded
  • Terms of service: Read the terms
  • Automation policy: Prohibited by the terms. Bars using 'any automated process or service (such as a bot, a spider...' to access the Service, and automated retrieval, scripting or API calls that cause excessive usage; API keys may not be shared with third parties. The Service monitors for non-human access such as RPA and periodic caching. Applies to the hosted platform, not just the website.

OIPP status

Not yet on the open protocol. Intralinks VDRPro does not implement the Open Investor Portal Protocol (OIPP), the open API any portal can implement so investors reach every portal through one interface with their own key.

For SS&C Intralinks. If anything on this page is wrong or out of date, correct the entry by pull request to the registry or by email. A pull request from a vendor-owned domain marks the entry vendor verified. Implementing OIPP lets investors and their agents fetch documents without scraping, under your own access rules. See the registry badge for how to show your status.
